Abstract
Philip Lazarus was a Russian immigrant, born in 1876, who settled in South Georgia in 1891. He originally moved to Rochelle, GA and married Lena Pearlman of Americus, Georgia. In 1902 they moved to Quitman, Georgia and opened Philip Lazarus and Sons, a general merchandise store. Lazarus died on August 5, 1953 in Quitman.
