Biographical / Historical

Joel M. Feldman was born on January 2, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia to Louis and Rosalie Bach Feldman. He graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in 1962, a LL.B. in 1964, and a J.D. in 1971. He was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 1963. He served as Assistant Attorney General of Georgia from 1966-1968, Assistant District Attorney Fulton County 1968-1972 and 1974, Member Naval Reserve Lawyers Association, Federal Magistrate Judges Association, State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta General Bar Associations, Airman Third Class USAFR 1964, Captain (retired) USNR, JAGC 1964-1992, Legislative Assistant and Legal Counsel to Senator Sam Nunn 1973-1974, Member Naval Reserve Association (president Atlanta Chapter 1982-1983 and Southeast District 1983-1984), Navy League U.S. (President Atlanta Council 1985-1986) and Naval Order of U.S. (President 1990-1991). President of Temple Sinai Synagogue 1994-1996.

A native Atlantan, Joel M. Feldman earned his law degrees from Emory University and serves as a Magistrate Judge, United States District Court Northern District of Georgia. His papers include case files, correspondence, biographical information, appointment books, settlement conferences, and court martial case records.
