Flora Rosefsky Papers
Scope and Contents
The Flora Rosefsky papers collection consists of documents, drawings, collages, and textile samples. This collection would be beneficial to researchers studying the textile arts, especially quilt and embroidery design. The artist’s working files for community quilts provide further information about the administration of commissioned works as well as the organization of community projects. Rosefsky collaborated with other quilters and members of the Atlanta-area Jewish community to produce quilts for local organizations. Two of the quilts covered in this collection are housed at the Breman Jewish Heritage Museum: Handkerchiefs for a Jewish Wedding quilt and the Yom Ha’Atzmaut quilt.
