Biographical / Historical

Jacob Amon Blumberg was born on June 10, 1889 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1913, he married Miriam Saul (1892-1983). They had three children, Evelyn Blumberg Janko Litt (1915-2001), Betsy Blumberg Teplis (b. 1926), and Marvin W. Blumberg (1919-2018). Jacob was a retired partner of Briarcliff Mills where he had been a salesman for 55 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Masons, the Shriners and the King Solomon Lodge No. 460 in Birmingham. He died at age 87 in Atlanta on October 13, 1976.

Jacob A. Blumberg was a native Atlanta and salesman at Briarcliff Mills for 55 years. The papers include telegrams from the marriage of Miriam Saul and Jacob Blumberg, 1913, and the genealogy of the Saul family.
