Biographical / Historical
The collection consists of financial records from the Rialto Saloon Co., Inc. owned by the Marks family in Albany, Georgia, a history of Temple Beth El in West Point, Georgia; and material relating to Yoel Lyons Joel who was killed with the American forces fighting in France during World War I. Lyons Heyman was born on January 25, 1928, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of Charles Simon Heyman and Minna Simon. In 1937, the family moved to Rome, Georgia where Charles Heyman and Lawrence Fox established a furniture business. Lyons Heyman later married Albany, Georgia native Josephine Marks
