Minna Simon Heyman was born on December 29, 1873 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She married Arthur Heyman and had four children; Charles, Herman, Dorah, and Joseph. Her papers consist of diaries spanning 1898-1952 and the book “War Memories” by Frank A. Holden, which mentions Yoel Joel several times throughout the book regarding his service in World War I.
